Yesterday, I had gone to meet a friend for a catch up and after a nice bite to eat at Wholefoods in High Street Kensington, we decided to wander over to the second branch of one of my favourite bakeries nearby in South Kensington: Hummingbird Bakery.
We were looked after by Annie (Assistant Manager, South Kensington branch) and her team, and after a lot of deliberating we chose a Tiramisu cupcake from the monthly specials and on recommendation from Annie, the Black Bottom (a double chocolate and cream cheese cupcake). The Tiramisu reminded me of trips to Italy, and the Black Bottom was a lovely light double chocolate cupcake with an interesting centre of cream cheese – with a surprise nugget of dark chocolate hidden inside. Annie, a fab recommendation!
A great place to relax whether it be that you need a break between shopping or you want that perfect end to a meal! They do amazing coffee also whilst you watch the world go by.
